I never thought I would be doing this, but here I am!
Mom, I started my own blog, yay!
I cannot believe myself as I am writing this. 2020 was a year full of ups and downs. The world was slowly shutting itself down. People stayed inside their homes. Everyone walked around outside wear masks. All were on guard with their health, following social distancing norms and sanitizing their hands.
While the higher-ups were busy managing the country, trying to avert an economic meltdown by the pandemic, we were in our homes. We attended our classes through video-conferencing platforms like Zoom and Google Meet. We spent more time with our families. And at the end of the day, we ended up looking at the landscape outside through our windows, wondering when we would ever return to the ‘old normal’.
We felt lonely. We were unable to meet our friends. We never really hugged anyone. But the loneliness gave us a chance to step out of our comfort zones and try some new things.
And I did the same.
I tried writing online, video-editing, photo-editing, constructing study timetables, meeting new people online, signing up for some courses, cooking, strengthening my relationship with my family, catching up on some sleep, and the list goes on and on.
After almost a year and a half of experimenting, I’ve finally settled on this – starting a blog of my own.
So, yes, here I am, kicking off writerophile with a brand-new post after three months of watching videos, seeking tips, choosing themes, and deciding on projecting my presence on the Internet.
I can’t wait to write more here. There’s a lot of stuff that I’ve kept in store and I simply cannot wait to show it to each one of you. I hope you enjoy reading my blog, along with some chai and cookies by your side.
Until then, till the next time!
Love, PJ 💖
